FACIAL REJUVENATION - RITIDOPLASTY INDICATION

Rhytidoplasty is the definitive solution to correct the inexorable anatomical changes of time: sagging skin, deepening of facial grooves, folds in the mandibular contour and the aging of the neck.

Surgical indication requires a complete preoperative evaluation, with the clinical history of the patient and laboratory tests.

PROCEDURE

The scars are discreetly placed around the ear and by the implantation of your hair, in a way that you can use your hair pulled up without noticing any scar marks.

Preserving the hairline in front of the ear and in the temporal region is crucial to keep the youthful appearance of the face.

The goal is to suspend soft parts and to better reposition muscles. The angle between the jaw and the neck is reinforced by techniques for fixing the loose muscles below the chin and jaw.

Liposculpture, that is, the grafting of your own fat, will be performed for the volumetric replacement of cheekbones and facial atrophy areas, tailoring your eye contour, minimizing the grooves between your nose and lips, and achieving a better chin projection.

The lifting or minilifting is a permanent procedure that allows, for many years, better results for later touch ups with dermal fillers and botulinum toxin.

ANESTHESIA

Local anesthesia and sedation, with an average of 4 hours.

POST-OPERATIVE CARE

One-day hospital.

Wound compressive dressing and drain during the first 24 to 48 hours.

Swelling and bruises will persist for up to 5 days and decrease gradually. You can resume your daily activities after around 10 to 14 days.

The stitches are removed after 7 to 14 days.

Sun protection should be used for 60 days.

Lymphatic drainage and specific care to maintain the youthfulness of the skin will be prescribed.

RESULTS

The complete healing occurs around the 6th month, but you will have a more natural look after 40 days.

NECK

RECOMMENDATION

The neck treatment is carried out along with the face and, if necessary, it is associated with cervical liposuction to remove fatty deposits that in some cases are accentuated with age.

Some young patients have fat deposits with an indication of correction of the "jowl", which can respond with isolated liposuction. A small scar under the chin may be indicated to treat the muscles in this area.

Platysma, the muscle in the cervical region, can loosen and form bands that disfigure the appearance of the neck.

SURGERY

The scars can be positioned below the chin and, if necessary, around the ear. The muscles are repositioned and fixed in a more pleasant and firm position.

ANESTHESIA

Outpatient with local anesthesia and sedation, lasting from 1 to 3 hours.

Observation from 2 to 6 hours.

POST-OPERATIVE CARE

Cervical intermit

ent band compression for 20 to 30 days.

Return to daily activities after 5 to 7 days.

Avoid sun exposure for 60 days.

Resume physical exercises after 30 days.
